What is A Month of Letters?

You know, I love all mail but there's something a little special when you open your mailbox and see a postcard from your favorite's list.  I'm so happy anytime someone sends me an Amish postcard!


Kentucky State Capitol Building-I'm working on having a complete collection of State Capitol Postcards, have a very long way to go. ;)


Wheeee...this Pennsylvania mulit-view postcard is great and even shows an Amish horse and buggy! Love!

I was thrilled to see this Santa postcard from Russia in my mailbox!  A lovely winter scene filled with snow, trees, darling little girl tending to the pretty birds ( I love pretty birds) and an adorable bunny.

Russia Postage Stamp

Pretty paper tapes and rubber stamps, these are a few of our favorite things! 


Walked into Michaels, saw the new paper tapes...started drooling on the floor!  So many designs, so little money.  Had to stop drooling, put myself back together a bit and start narrowing down to my absolute favorites.  You can see which ones made it in the cart and home, for this week! ;)


I am a sucker for rubber stamps...there...I've said it!  Make a heart or an owl and it's coming home with me, especially when the price is only $1.50 each.  Yippeeee...Skippeeee!

My Postcard Pal-Mariska from the Netherlands sent me this beautiful postcard filled with beautiful white sheep.  Love it!


Yay, this fantastic card NL-1627217 arrived from the official side (meaning not the forums) of Postcrossing, I couldn't be any happier! I always do my best to read and match profiles when sending cards and it's refreshing when others to too!


Oh how I love Forever Friends Bears by Hallmark, this postcard makes me happy and brings a smile! 

Why, oh why, doesn't Hallmark make postcards for us in the USA?  I know people would buy them and they already sell them in other parts of the world so it's not like re-inventing the wheel, ya know. 

Hello darling, how are you?
Are you writing and sending mail too?

It's been cold, cold and colder here in Dallas.  Yesterday morning, I awoke to beautiful white snow.  The fluffy, dreamy, like a cloud snow that Texans dream about. 

Snow translates to another day to bake (this time a dump cake), lots of tea (Bigelow Lemon Lift) and writing cards and a letter.  In honor of the snow, my letter is written on beautiful snow white writing paper and black ink. 

This penpal letter is staying here in the USA, going many miles away.
