Mail Makes Me Sing!

Sending & Receiving Mail,
such a lovely way to start
and end the day!

I am passionate about Victoria Kirdy Postcards and recently had an opportunity to do a trade with a lovely lady in Russia. Here are the first of several that I'll be posting the next few days!  If you were driving down my street you would have witnessed me hopping, skipping, jumping and singing Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah on the way back from the mailbox when they arrived!

Victoria Kirdy Postcard
She kindly translated the quote on the back for me.
 Top Quote-
"There are three things that cannon be forgiven to a woman.  But nobody know why and what these things are.  ~Janina Ipohorska
Bottom Quote-
You need the power of a devil to be as patient as an angel.

Top Quote-To be on a balanced diet is to hold two similar pieces of cake in both hands.
Bottom Quote-It's not overweight, it's the additional place to kiss.

I always read profiles and do my very best to pick postcards that I think the recipient will love, it's really the best part of sending and receiving postcards to me!  If you see a postcard that you'd love to have, email me and I just might have an extra to send your way!

Penpal Letters On the Way!

Penpal letters on the way today!    Hopefully they travel safely and quickly. ;)

Yoohoo, do you make your own envelopes too?  Is it hard for you to resist picking up things here and there to decorate your envelopes with?  Do you tend to lean toward bright and happy, vintage or some other style of envelope?

It's a fact that I have enough paper to make a million envelopes but when I see new papers that I love, I can't keep from bringing them home and it's generally bright and happy colors.  How about you, what do you lean towards?

Lovely Letters & Hello's!

Mail time is such a fine time
opens my mind time
shows me what others
see, feel and think!

I don't know about you but I've been blessed by a lot of new friends and Hello's in the mailbox lately! The pics today don't do justice to what's arrived inside these envelopes but I've been so busy writng and sending that taking pics took a back seat...for now.

Mail arrival has been wonderful lately.  A lovely Valentine's card from my penpal in Singapore, handmade envelopes from Ria, a return letter from a new penpal/lettermo participant in the USA, letter from a penpal in Denmark, and a sweet card from a another lettermo participant that also lives here in Texas.

Mail arrival from my lovely penpal Mariska in the Netherlands, return letter from a new penpal through lettermo, penpal letter from Switzerland, letter from Australia through lettermo, letter from USA through lettermo.

Writing the First Letter and Mail of Course!

It's just a few days into A Month of Letters and when I sit down to write a letter to a prospective penpal I feel a little like a new car (or maybe used) sitting in the lot just waiting for someone to take a look at me and decide whether they want a test drive...or not.

My mind says...am I shiny enough, interesting enough, clean enough, is my ride smooth or am I just a regular car that's very comfortable, cushy to ride in, already has the first dent and doesn’t mind if you bring your fries and drink inside.

Do people want the shiny, interesting, clean and smooth or are they ok with the comfortable, bring your fries, turn up the music, have a good time kind of car?

Is it necessary to have million hobbies or is my family, postcards, movies, animals, reading, letter writing and never a dull day life enough? I'm not a farmer (still wish I could have chickens), knitter, writer, fountain pen geek or any of those other cool things.  I'm just me. Sensitive, loving, caring, stubborn, likes to have options, happy, wife and mom.

Soooooo....if you receive a letter from me, I'll be the one pulling up in the comfy car, good music on...looking forward to having a good time with you!

Now to the mail~
