I'm lucky to live in the Dallas, Texas area where there is a plethora of places to feed anyone's shopping habits.  People who love to shop are also generally great donaters which help keep the thrift/charity stores running and Dallas has plenty of them.  You could spend an entire weekend thrift shopping and only manage to hit a small percentage of stores. 

At one of my favorite stores, everything with a B or P was another 50% off, how in the world could I resist?

What...a post that's not Christmas related today! 

Even during the busy holiday season, I still make time to stop in at my favorite local thrift and charity stores, there are always treasures to be found of some kind or another.  Here are my latest: 


This box of pretty stationery only set me back $1.50.  It contains stationery sheets & folded cards, matching envelopes for both and pretty stickers to use as seals. 

 
Brand new box of stationery-$1.50.  If you were in the store with me, you'd have seen me jumping up and down...Oh Happy Day!

Brand new sealed set of 2 Moleskine Ruled Notebooks for $1.69.  I felt like a squirrel who had just found the nut of the day with this treasure in my cart!  Delighted out of my mind!


Vintage Hallmark napkins still in the package for .29, the original price on the back is .69.  I love them!

all long forgotten
but still perfect for thoughts.

Home they come
all safe and sound,
time to get ready for another
go around.

Before they depart
I make a few changes,
they get a fresh new look and
now are ageless.


I'm always happy to see boxes like this sitting on a thrift store shelf.  Discarded by prior owners, ignored by other shoppers and just waiting for someone (like me) to give it a new home.  Priced at $1.99, that's just fine. 


Took that old worn lid off and found a treasure chest!


Several vintage fold and sends complete with the seals.  I love them all but the one with dogs is my favorite.

Loved these little Thank You cards-


The back part of these sweet Thank You card's were bent and a bit too yellowed for my taste.  I cut the backs off and attached the fronts to a kraft paper card and then added a little coordinating washi/paper tape.  All freshened up and ready to travel. 








I jumped at the chance to pay only a $1.00 for this New Unused Vintage Box of Hallmark Stationery 50 Sheets. 


The paper was very basic with nothing printed on it, perfect for me.



Time to dress it up a little-

I'm not sure how but stamps always seem to make their way home with me. ;)  I just picked out a few and some of my favorite color inks and stamped away.

Mail arrival is lovely to me

Penpal letters, vintage stamps
are like cream and sugar,
they make me want to dance.


These perfectly happy and bright vintage stamps arrived on one of my penpal letters yesterday, talk about making a girl crazy happy!


I love the Good Mail and Snail Mail stamps on here.  Lovely handwriting too, don't you think.


I finally signed up for Instagram (am I the last one) and this cute letter arrived from an Instagram user in Malayisa yesterday.  So Fun!  I love the stationery!

A wonderful letter from Otto in Germany.
I am helping her with English and she's the first person who can't read all of my handwriting.  I love that she scans the pages and highlights the words she can't read for me so I can write them more clearly for her.



Letter to Corinna in Germany.  I realize my envelope is a bit lacking here but I'm not a gifted, talented artist.  My grandmother and daughter (thankfully) have those gifts, I just try to make the best of what creativity I don't have.  ;)


Meredith's Official Postcrossing Cards today. 
It's very unusual to get two profiles that request old cars, we happen to have cards to fit that perfectly!


While on the last Thrift Store trip where I always look for stationery (etsy and ebay aren't always budget friendly), I found this lovely brand new Pink & White Stationery.  It was $1.91 and anything with a Y or yellow tag was an additional 35% off.  Translates to dirt cheap for this girl. ;)


Pretty paper in the box still tied with the original pink string and all pretty envelopes are accounted for, score for me!  You may see it in your mailbox soon!
