I know, I know...Christmas is over-you've finally got all your Christmas packed up and out of the house.  The cards are put away or (gasp) thrown away and you don't want to see or hear any mention of Christmas or the holidays again. 

I get it, I really do but I love, love, love Christmas and (really all holidays) if you happen to stop by here on a Saturday it's likely you'll be getting a big dose of Christmas Cheer all through the year.  Look at it this way, at least I've contained it to Saturday's! :)

after all, it's a brand new year.


Departing from Mailbox Happiness today to a very sweet penpal in the USA.  I've always wanted to have chickens for fresh eggs but since I can't, I bought these adorable cards instead.  My husband was happy, no more chicken talk...for now!


I squeeked (maybe because I have guinea pigs & they squeek for dinner) when my local post office had the new Emancipation Proclamation Stamps in stock.  Four sheets made thier way home with me! ;)


This beautiful art postcard, "Song in Praise of Coral Reef" by Shiroma Eijun arrived from Japan.  Look closely and you will see fish everywhere.

Merry Christmas Moomin Style!  Do you know of Moomins?  They are a popular children's book series written by Tove Jansson in Finland.  I rarely receive a Moomin card but certainly love them!
