Thursday says, "Hello!"
have you any mail
ready to go?
No, you say?
Grab a postcard,
notecard or paper
and pen.
Compose a few loving,
supportive words
and send off to a friend!
Today brings more wonderful cards from the
Swapbot 52 Postcards in a Week Project, so much fun!

Alcatraz also known as, "the Rock". This is my first postcard of the controversial maximum security prison located in San Francisco, California.

North Texas doesn't experience autumn/fall colors like other parts of the USA, cards like this allow me to armchair travel through fall any time of the year.

The famous St. Louis Arch in spring-stands 630ft. tall and is our nation's largest man-made monument.

The last few days have been full of rain, constant...non stop...around the clock rain. The postcards arriving at the 2809 bring us sunshine...lots of sunshine!
We have a little piece of sugar cookie cake (I always want to bake when it rains) a cup of hot chocolate or tea and read each card. We look at the front...usually generating some ooohhhh's and awwwww's from either Meredith or myself but most of the time you'd hear both of us saying it together at the same time!
On to the cards....six more from the 52 Postcards in a Year at
Swapbot. Are you a member there? There's a swap for everyone! You can find me via the link on the right. ----->

Birds are singing
Sky is light
Pens are out
Time to write!

This adorable letter arrived all the way from Indonesia. Stefani wrote a lovely letter, made an adorable card and enclosed fantastic stamps!

I'm in a project called 52 Postcards in a Year on
Swap-bot.
A different person is assigned to each week of the year and during "your" week (I'm week 1) everyone else in the group sends you a postcard so technically you should receive 52 Postcards in one week. The following weeks of the year, I'll send one postcard a week to someone else. Makes it easy since we are only sending one postcard per week.

A few more penpal and swap postcards going out today to England, Switzerland and USA. Do you have cards that you save hoping that eventually you'll come across someone that has them listed on their wishlist? That's the case with the lightning card, I've held on to it for a long time and finally someone actually had it on their wishlist. Oh Happy Day!
